Documents you need

• Passport, original and copy
• Valid visa: Non-Immigrant O, B, or a similar long-stay category
• Residence Certificate, from Immigration or your embassy
• Medical certificate, issued within 30 days
• Passport-sized photos

How the process works

1. We confirm your documents before your first appointment.
2. You take a written exam, available in English at Bangkok DLT offices.
3. You take two practical driving tests: a cone and slalom course for the motorbike, a basic maneuvering test for the car.
4. A from-scratch application includes testing, so it takes longer than our 1.5-hour conversion visits. Doing both licenses together still saves you a separate round of paperwork. Most people finish within a couple of DLT visits, and we tell you exactly what to expect once we confirm your booking.

Already have a car license from home? Save on the motorbike side

If you're converting a foreign car license and also want a Thai motorbike license with no existing motorbike license, we can do both together for 4,000 THB instead. Since you already hold a valid license to convert, you skip the 5-hour beginner class normally required for a motorbike application from scratch: just the theory and practical exam.
