Director Changes

A director resignation or appointment in Thailand isn't valid the moment you decide it. It becomes official once the Department of Business Development has the filing on record, and until then, the outgoing director may still carry legal signing authority.

What's required

• Board resolution documenting the change
• Filing with the Department of Business Development
• Updated company affidavit
• Bank signatory updates, if the outgoing director had signing rights

Don't forget the bank

Companies regularly update their DBD filing and forget their bank still lists the old director as an authorized signatory. We flag this as part of the process.
