Acquire TM30

The TM30 is a Thai immigration reporting requirement. Landlords, property owners, or hotel managers must notify local immigration when a foreign national stays at their property, within 24 hours of arrival.

TM30 key points

• TM30 helps Thai authorities track where foreigners stay, for security and record purposes.
• The host, landlord, hotel, or property owner is legally responsible for filing it, not the foreigner.
• Applies to all accommodation types: hotels, rentals, condos, and owned homes.
• Filing late can mean fines for the owner and delays for the foreigner during visa extensions or 90-day reports.
• Re-reporting is required when you return to Thailand, or stay overnight in another province for more than 24 hours.

Documents you need

• Copy of your passport: bio page, visa page, and entry stamp
• Proof of address: lease agreement, or ownership documents
• Landlord or property owner's ID and house registration (Tabien Baan) copy, if available
